What is it?

Work conditioning is therapy we deliver to you as a result of a worker’s compensation injury. There are two types of relevant therapy after an injury: acute physical therapy right after it happens, and then conditioning therapy.

Conditioning therapy typically lasts 4-6 hours a day over the course of 2-4 weeks (depending on what type of work you do). The goal is to not only complete the healing process, but also to build up endurance so you minimize the chances of getting hurt again.

Why would you need this treatment?

If you’ve been injured on the job, you want to make sure you can safely go back to work — so does your employer and so do we! That means more than healing of the injured body part; your whole body needs to be strong and healthy to avoid getting hurt again.

What should you expect from Springer PT?

Expect a tailored program, based on your physical condition, your injury, your goals, and your work environment. We’ll develop a tailored combination of strength and aerobic movement with flexibility and range of motion exercises. Wear comfortable clothing and be ready to move! We can also visit your work site for a complete ergonomics evaluation.

Throughout your therapy, the Springer team will stay in close communication with your case manager, the adjuster, and your doctor to make sure you’re making the progress they expect and that you need.

Does this sound like you?

You’ll know if this is what you need, based on your doctor’s referral. Because you were injured at work, a nurse case manager or an adjustor will send you to us.
