What is it?

Long COVID shows up differently and of course, because it’s fairly new, the medical community is still learning about it. Essentially long COVID describes the fatigue, shortness of breath, and racing heart that just won’t go away, even after you no longer test positive for COVID.

What should you expect from Springer PT?

We’ll start with a conversation to learn about your symptoms, how long you’ve had them, and any other medical history. We’ll assess vital signs to get a baseline, and (as always) make sure we’re working in partnership with your doctor.

Using all that data, our team will develop a tailored exercise formula to work past the shortness of breath, fast heart rate and fatigue. Part of that formula includes education and encouragement. We know it can be scary to have long COVID. That’s why we’re here to support you and encourage you (and provide guidance) every step of the way. If you’re already short of breath and your heart starts racing just going up the stairs, the last thing you want to do is exercise! We get that. We’ll partner with you to integrate movement into your daily life so we can get you back to health.

Does this sound like you?

You’ve had COVID, but you just can’t get back to your normal levels of energy. If you get out of breath easily, or you feel like you’ve just climbed 20 flights of stairs when you only climbed one, you may have long COVID.
